In the spring of 1940, my father, Jack Lodge first gained exposure to the lumber industry working with his brother-in-law. Years later, Lodge Lumber Company merged with a prominent competitor, but the plans were short-lived. Starting over from scratch in the early sixty's with few resources, Jack embarked on a brave new frontier. The strength of the small firm was built around supplying utility contractors with hardwood timbers. With an 8 x 10 building, one forklift, a truck and a pole trailer, Jack's vision was born. This was the humble beginning of great things to come.
Jack's business was known for personal service, quality products and efficient delivery. The simple formula became the foundation of many long lasting beneficial client relationships and the catalyst for continued success.
With growing demand from industrial commercial contractors, a greater need to stock larger inventory on the most widely used forestry products was required.
In response to that demand, the twenty-acre site at Oates Rd., just minutes from the port of Houston, was acquired. With time, plenty of hard work and persistence, we have now created a state of the art remanufacturing facility that is second to none.
I am proud to be part of this great family vision and feel confident that our company's team can now more than ever satisfy all our clients' expectations with the same service, quality and integrity that has become a tradition and our reputation.
